Marek Kaminski - Executive Director at Ernst&Young Business Advisory. Marek Kaminski graduated from University of Gdansk with the title of Master of Economics. He is a Polish Chartered Accountant, and holds an MBA degree at Manchester Business School in UK. He specializes in problems of gas and electricity sector, liberalization of energy markets, upstream market and regulatory issues. He has joined Ernst & Young as a Director in January 2010 after working in Andersen (1996-2006) and Deloitte (2007-2009). Currently he leads EY Oil and Gas Advisory practice in Poland. He carried out several business advisory projects for the following clients: PGNiG, PKN Orlen, ORLEN Upstream, Gas Distribution Companies, PGE Group , CEZ, Gas Chamber of Commerce, SPEC, Bulgarian Government and many more.

mec. Richard Eccles - Richard is Head of Bird & Bird’s London EU Law & Competition Group. He has over 20 years experience of EU and UK competition law, competition regulation and state aid, and EC law and regulation concerning network industries. Richard’s experience covers all aspects of these fields, including anti-trust, merger control, and the EU state aid rules. He has advised extensively on the competition regulation of network industries and liberalised utilities. Richard has particular experience in the sports, life sciences, IT, broadcasting, electronic communications and postal services sectors. He has conducted cases before the European Commission, the European Court of Justice, and (in the UK) the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), the Competition Commission and UK sector regulators. In the field of merger control, Richard has advised on the EU and/or UK merger control rules in relation to numerous actual or proposed mergers, has carried out merger control filings at the UK OFT and (previously) the European Commission, and has appeared before the Competition Commission. Richard has previously provided consultancy to the European Commission and to national competition authorities of various central European countries on the harmonisation of such countries' competition laws with EU law. Richard is included in the rankings of leading competition lawyers in all the top legal directories. He is a frequently published author on competition law and regulatory subjects including a book of which he is lead author on competition law and intellectual property in the pharmaceuticals sector. Richard is a recent past-Chairman of The Law Society’s European Group (now the Law Society’s Competition Law Section) and is an active member of its Committee.

mec. Hermenegildo Altozano - Hermenegildo Altozano heads Bird&Bird Energy and Utilities practice in Madrid. He specialises in Energy, advising on transactions and projects in Spain and Latin America, and provides investment protection and arbitration advice in relation to Latin America. He has industry experience and an understanding not only of legal but also commercial issues that challenge clients’ business objectives". He is the director of the Senior Program in Energy Law at the Instituto de Empresa (Madrid) and professor of Private International Law at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (Madrid). He has been awarded with the International Law Office Client Choice Awards 2010 as the Best Energy Lawyer in Spain.He receives outstanding ranking by legal directories and clients identify him as “one of the most active energy lawyers in the country” and report that he is “extremely knowledgeable” (Chambers & Partners EMEA Guide 2011). Hermenegildo’s recent experience includes advising Enagás (the Spanish TSO) and the Dutch company Vopak in relation to the acquisition together with the Dutch company Vopak of the LNG regasification terminal of Altamira (Tamaulipas, Mexico) and also advising Enagás in the acquisition of the participation interest in Gascan’s LNG terminals (Canary Islands).
